It was quite nerve-wracking planning our kitchen.  I don’t know about you but I never plan improvements based on what I want.  I always plan based on what I believe a prospective buyer might want.  Until I move in to the home that I will stay in forever (and that will probably happen when I am retired :-) ) I am going to ignore my own tastes and make choices based on what I believe the next lucky owner of our home would like.  I know that my interior design taste is highly personal and quite possibly, I admit it… weird.

The unfortunate part about this approach to renovation is that it is pretty blind – hence the nerve-wracking part.  I mean how do I know who will be looking at purchasing my house down the road?  How do I know that their tastes aren’t as weird as my own?  I don’t – so I have to guess.  What a shame I can’t ask them.

But I can ask you!!  As I was trying to block out the banging it popped in to my head that I am constantly renovating Emily Rose.  Again – I never make business decisions based on what I want – but always based on what our customers (YOU) want.  Most of the time I can guess what customers are looking for based on customer care questions, feedback, problems, etc… and hopefully we are doing pretty well at renovation and making sure we have the latest and greatest to meet your needs. But I would also love for you to tell me.  Be honest.  What do you need?  What do you want?  What could be do better?  What products, services, choices can we add?

Please let me know and we will do our absolute best to renovate with you in mind.

Now could someone please send me some tylenol?  Please?
