Flowerz In Her Hair was started by Mom Amy Jackson. Her story is familiar to our product reviews. She wanted something better. A better product and better service. After two boys, she was blessed with a little girl. She couldn’t wait to dress her up pretty with flowers and bows. Frustrated with the selection and quality of hair accessories for her little princess, she decided to make her own. Now she is a successful business owner creating comfortable and quality products for your princesses, big and little. Flowerz In Her Hair offers a wide range of products ranging from headbands, flowers, and communion veils. We received two adorable flower hair clips and a ribbon headband for review.

Flower clips and bows are available in almost every color or flower style you could imagine. There are so many different varieties to choose from. The flower clip we received is priced at $5.50 for one or $10.00 for two. Most of the bows and fancy hair clips range from about $2.00 – $5.00 depending on the size of the accessory. The headband we received is priced at $4.95¸and is fully interchangeable with flower and bow clips. They also offer little beanie hats which the flowers also clip into. Most orders ship within 48 hours and are shipped USPS. The website is organized and easy to navigate.

The flower and bow clip we received were so gorgeous! I could tell that a lot of attention to detail went into making this product. All the little clips are covered with fabric to make them comfortable to wear all day. Take a look at the video to see just how lovely they are. My little niece Olivia wore her flower all night and you could tell she felt like a princess wearing it. These hair accessories are not just for “little” girls either. There is so much to entertain the fasionista of your house. Your school age girls will have a blast creating their own look to match her personality.

What I love about these products is the price!!! So affordable, you can stock up and mix and match for some fun. I also can’t say enough about the variety. I particularly liked the spirit flowers, what a great way to show team spirit or school pride. And, my absolute favorite flowers are the big funky flowers. I think girls can really express their individuality with these flowers.

The bottom line? This is a fun, affordable way to put some creativity into accessorizing in these financially trying times. Girls of all ages will love these pretty flowers, and I must admit, I couldn’t help thinking how cute they would look at the base of my ponytail…

————-

for details…

We live in Pennsylvania, and are preparing for yet another snow storm! It’s cold, snowy, and just plain miserable out! That’s why we were thrilled to try out a cozy new sweatshirt from Zebra Hoodies. Regina, of Zebra Hoodies, is a school teacher who makes these adorable embroidered sweatshirts and uniforms to make a little extra money. Well, I think Regina must be super busy because there are so many design options and choices. We received a black crew neck “hoodie” with Maggie’s name is zebra print. Check out Maggie doing her gymnastics warm up to get a close up view.

The process is simple. First you chose the type of “hoodie”, crew neck or zip. Then choose the name, or initial you would like embroider. Next you choose the stitching colors, including their own zebra or tiger print. And last, you choose the font type. Your sweatshirt is then, custom made just for you! Each sweatshirt is $36.00 plus $4.95 for shipping. Not a bad deal for a custom made sweatshirt. The “hoodie” is a 50% pre-shrunk cotton blend and a nice heavy weight for our chilly January days. I have washed it several times and there hasn’t been any shrinking or fading. A warning about size. Maggie is usually a size 8 in girls’ clothes but the “hoodie” we received was a size 10-12 and fits perfectly. I would order one size larger than needed. Maggie loves to wear it playing in the snow, or as a cover up for her gymnastics gear

Take note warm weather friends, this sweatshirt would still be great for those chilly evenings at the baseball or soccer fields. Baseball and softball uniforms are also available at reasonable package prices, and again, are all customizable. OK, so uniforms are great but my favorite item available is for all of your princesses and divas. Check out the new bling line. I think any little girl will love these tees and sweatshirts! Imagine your daughter’s Girl Scout troop, or dance troop in these sparkly tees. Worried about price? The more you order, the less you pay.

What I love about this product? There is nothing not to love! Simple to order, simple to wear, and simple to love. This is a great product that is a must have for your girls wardrobe this winter. And for all the girly girls out there, the bling line is too cute! I also love the personal attention from Regina. If you order from this company, you get a personalized custom made product just for you. Not to mention, I love any company that fosters creativity. You and your daughter could have a blast designing mother daughter tees or anything that expresses your creative side.

The bottom line? I love supporting any self made business woman who is offering a great product at a great price. Zebra Hoodies gets my vote!

————————

Zebrahoodie wants one of our readers to win a custom Hoodie or Sweatshirt!!! In order to enter please visit Zebrahoodie and tell us which one is your favorite plus one fun way that you and your kiddos enjoy the winter weather?

Watch tomorrow for Part 2 of this review – the video review!

Pigtail Pals was started by stay at home Mom Melissa Wardy in an effort to provide her daughter with clothing options that promoted empowerment and independence for girls. Pigtail Pals has a variety of products to offer, including t-shirts (see Maggie sporting her “call me in the morning t-shirt), and “re-define girly gear” of baseball caps, school supplies, and gear bags. All t-shirts are 100% pre-shrunk cotton and feature a logo of a girl in various careers with a cute little caption. Melissa now provides custom design t-shirts plus she will be adding a new line of designs in February.

We received a t-shirt for Maggie with a girl doctor with the caption “call me in the morning”. It fit well and washed well (no shrinkage). Maggie performed her handstand test and declared it comfortable. She actually wears it to Gymnastics practice all the time; it’s comfy and doesn’t ride up when she is upside down! I also liked the firefighter’s t-shirt with the caption “I look good in red”. Since Ryan is a firefighter I’m thinking of getting one for myself! Take a look at all the choices. What does your daughter want to be when she grows up? Which one is her favorite? T-shirts are available in infant, toddler, girl, and some adult sizes. Girl t-shirts are $21.00. Be cautioned when ordering, sizes run very small. Maggie usually wears a size 7-8 in a shirt and we received a size 14-16 for review. It is a pretty good, snug fit. Be sure to order a couple of sizes bigger than you normally would.

What I like about this company is their commitment to giving back. For every t-shirt sold, Pigtail Pals donates $1.00 to their charity of the month. What a great way to teach our girly girls how to make a difference. Right now Maggie wants to be a teacher. She idolizes her second grade teacher Mrs. Hannah! However, I realize this is probably going to change, so I am happy to provide her with the encouragement she needs to be anything she sets her mind to. From construction worker to astronaut, Pigtail Pals has the t-shirt she’ll need!

In order to enter please visit the Pigtail Pals website and out of the 12 designed T-Shirts tell us what is your favorite and why?

I know what some of you are thinking. After I confessed yesterday about my lack of hand/eye coordination and mechanical skills, you are thinking that I left the 18 Inch Doll Armoire to my sister Michelle to assemble because it was too hard for me. Not true! I could have done it I promise. The truth is that I ran out of time. I was visiting my family and leaving the completed furniture with my sister for gifts/donations and I was having so much fun playing with my nieces and nephews and Michelle’s new puppy Boo, that I didn’t get to the armoire (ok,ok, I admit it – I left the one with the most pieces until last).

But as my wonderful sister will show you, although the armoire has more pieces it is as simple as the other doll furniture to put together – just a few more steps. You can click here to buy the armoire (only $58.99) Here goes…

I absolutely LOVE our 18 inch doll Triple Bunk Bed. It was actually a lot of fun putting it together and took no time at all. When you watch the video you can also see the high quality of the product as well as how easy these beds are to stack and separate. They are so playable (is that a word?). Easy to take apart and put side by side and easy to stack them up and get them out of the way.

Hubby Mark wasn’t with me when I assembled all of these products, and to be truthful he really didn’t believe I would be able to do it. I’m not exactly known for my eye-hand coordination I had to give up my tennis lessons after I proved my prophecy that I would be absolutely hopeless – and hubby knows to never throw me anything or it will absolutely end up on the ground – he learned that one the hard way.

So if I can do it you can do it… and it was fun!
