for details…

I have three children ages 7, 5, and almost 3.  We go through a lot of shoes in our house.  As a result we are constantly searching for just the right pair.  Every year, my mother takes the children to buy new shoes.  She does this because, as you know, shoes can get very expensive and she likes to help out.  She insists that the children have a “proper” pair of shoes to start each school year.  We love this, but the problem is finding the right pair that is going to be comfortable to wear every day, and offers the right fit.  How I wish we know about PediPed before now!

PediPed is a company started in 2004 by Brian and Angela Edgeworth.  When faced with the limited choices for infants and toddlers they decided to make their own.  They have three basic shoe styles to choose from; the originals, the grip-n-go, and the flex.  The Originals are their “first step” shoe and are designed to fit the needs of infants to toddler’s age 24 months.  These shoes are made to closely mimic barefoot walking.  Their “next step” shoe is the grip-n-go.  These shoes are designed for active toddlers and are available in sizes 4-7.  The flex system shoes are the “big step” shoes made just for growing children who are already confident walkers.  This shoe system comes with adjustable fit inserts to help with a perfect fit and extend the wear time of the shoes.  They are available in sizes 6-12.

I received a navy blue pair of flex fit shoes in size 8 ½ for review.  Tommy was very excited to try his new big boy shoes.  Take a peek at the video to see Tommy trying out his new shoes with some running and jumping.  Not only are these shoes adorable but they have all of the qualities that I look for in a long lasting children’s shoe.  They are extremely flexible, fit well, and are easy for Tommy to put on all by himself.  They are made from quality leather and memory foam technology that aide in comfort and fit.  It’s easy to tell that they feel comfortable to Tommy!  Just watch him run!  The shoes are also available in a huge variety of styles and colors.  They boy’s shoes are fabulous, but check out the girls shoes!  They have some of the most darling designs for girls big and little.  Too bad Maggie is a size 1 already.

Now, let’s talk about the price.  I won’t lie, these are not inexpensive.  The prices range from about $32.00 to $52.00 depending on size and style and there are a few styles that go as high as $79.00.  The shoes Tommy is wearing are listed for $49.00.  Shipping prices are fantastic at a flat rate of $5.00 for standard shipping regardless of how many pairs you order.  But here’s the thing about the price.  These shoes will last!  Your child will wear them every day and they will most definitely be their favorite shoes.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve bought shoes at superstores only to have them fall apart a week later.  You have all heard “you get what you pay for” and believe me you will with these fabulous little shoes.

The bottom line is that these are great shoes!  Priced appropriately for the quality and attention to detail, they are worth the investment.  They are great for school, or play, or just hanging about the house.  They would also make great gifts, especially for your girly girls out there.  Take a look at the website and you will see many endorsements from all kinds of medical professionals.  I love that this company has designed a shoe with my child’s foot health and development as their top priority.  Oh, and did I mention?  They are machine washable!

  1. I loved the Tonya, Julia and Mia boots. Similar looking boots (without the quality) go for at least $30 and they are very uncomfortable and probably not good for children’s feet. Therefore I never buy them. These boots are beautiful and great quality as well! Maybe this is a good Christmas item! I wish they had them in adult sizes!!!

  2. Caroline Jireh says:

My favorite is for the boys is Jake (tan/flex) and for the girls I am partial to Lily (especially since I have a daughter named Lily!) These shoes look super comfy! (I want a pair myself!)

  3. Jenine Bisaccio says:

My favorite is the Mckenna – choc brown (flex) shoes.  They are aboslutely adorable and look like they would fit well.  There are so many to choose from!  The Giselle shoes are very high on the list also…  but I’m a sucker for polka dots 🙂

  4. Alyson zimmer says:

Wow! These are great shoes! I really like the idea of a machine washable shoe! My favs include: fushia Tara, gold penny and red roxy. Crossing my fingers…

  5. Jenni says:

I like the Connor in navy and the Adrian in Chocolate Brown. For girls, I also like the Adrian in chocolate brown/light pink or the Amy.

  6. Kristie Gardner says:

I love the “Jake Chocolate Brown” shoes. These would be perfect for my son. Great for everyday wear and to church! Cute shoes!

  7. Denise says:

Love the colors and the washability… with two who are the right size to wear them, and one who will be all too soon, I’m sure I’d be able to hand down pairs from my older daughter to my younger one with a washing or two, if I had a few pairs of these!

  8. wendi manning says:

I really like the Elizabeth boot!! It is so cute and looks perfect with jeans and maybe denim skirts!!

  9. Janet Bodine says:

I know a little girl who would LOVE to stomp around in the Giselle chocolate boots. And the matching hair clip? ADORABLE!

  10. Glenda says:

Love the little girl shoes and boots! In fact I think my granddaughter already has a couple pairs of these shoes!

  11. Linda Graffius says:

As the grandmother of 5 girls I could go broke buying these shoes. I especially liked the Abigail style and all the colors. The Isabella one is equally as cute. I especially like that the styles are available in different sizes so that the sisters could have matching shoes. I always bought “good” shoes for my kids growing up and don’t like seeing my grandchildren in cheap shoes from “big box” stores. Thanks you for bringing good shoes back for children so that they develop healthy feet.

  12. I hadn’t heard of PediPeds before, but they look great! Flexibility is great for growing feet, and something most toddler shoes do not have. I’m going to their website to see what they have in a toddlers size 10! Thanks for the introduction.

  16. Debi says:

Wow, some cute shoes. I’ll bet the little guy is running up a storm. I think that the baby my daughter is about to deliver could use a new pair of these in a few months!

  17. linda says:

giselle, boot and abigail shoe are my favorites….they are all adorable

  18. Karen S says:

Wow! What cute shoes! I’d have to go with Jake as my favorite for my little man.

  19. Barbara says:

We need to try these! My son has a wide foot, and seems to grow everyday. These would save me a lot of time and trouble shopping for shoes for him. Shopping with a 7 year old boy is not always pleasant : ) Thanks for the review.

  20. Krystal says:

    Great shoes!~

  21. Regina Raver says:

I have never heard of these before but wish I would have. It took my son so long to walk. He loves shoes and I just know he would love these.

  22. Melissa Brox says:

How could anyone choose just one? I am partial to the Isabella, for one. Love all the color choices, too!

  23. Dorothy says:

I’ve been lusting after their shoes for years, but I didn’t realize all the new ones they had until I went to take a look for this giveaway.

I think the Tonya black boots are my favorite, but oh man is it hard to choose!

  24. Gaylene says:

The Abigail in chocolate brown and pink is charming!

  25. debbie says:

LOVE the pediped shoes. Had them for my son because he would NOT wear traditional shoes. If you put them on him he would just sit there and not go anywhere until you (or he) finally took them off. He wore his pediped shoes for the first 3 years. He’s 4 now…would love to get the ‘Jake’ shoes for him.

  26. Valerie says:

I really like the Nate, and the Ace!

  27. Adrienne says:

I love the Alyssa in Black! Super cute for the winter months! We love pediped! Both my two youngest children have had them and I’m excited about the new Grip and Go! 🙂
