Posted On 25 January 2010 by on Emily Rose TV, LM Musings

Monday is usually reserved for Monday Musings but Emily and I got slightly behind this weekend in preparing for the first episode of Emily Rose TV (which will normally run on Saturdays). I got caught up in finishing “The Book Thief” yesterday morning, which left me in a weeping mess and Emily was still a little tired from her 6 minute and 50 second mile at school on Friday. Have I EVER run a mile? We finished the first episode on Sunday and present it here for your American Girls. Emily’s friends will normally be very involved but due to schedule conflicts it was me and hubby who were put to work to complete the filming. You will be happy to know that I have been FIRED from Flip camera duties – as Emily says- I stink. I have never been fired in my life :-(

Emily has tons of great stuff planned for her TV program like, product reviews, book reviews, crafts, jokes, contests, etc… In this episode she launches her very first contest for all of your American Girls. *Please note that in order to win the $25 gift certificate all episode ideas must be left in the comments below by January 30th.

I don’t have any specific suggestions; but, I do have a kudos. I love the idea of you having a show. Emily Rose is not only beautiful; but she is confident. I think the most positive thing that can come from your shows is seeing Emily Rose. Thanks for blessing us by sharing your extremely articulate young lady. It is important that our daughters see positive role models including: female business owners and positive girls. Thanks again for helping us raise a generation of beautiful, intelligent, confident young women. You and Mark are doing a great job of parenting Emily!

    Cheers, teej

  13. Kendra and her AM.Girl Doll Katie says:

I think it would be great to have craft shows where you could make neat stuff for your dolls. Like cookies or furniture from recyceled things. Everyone is big on recyceling and this would be a great way to reuse some of the stuff we alread have sitting around. Some ideas could be books, food, mini board games, or anything else you can think of that would make life fun for your doll.

  20. Samantha Ball says:

Emily Rose….What if you have another contest where girls dress and place their dolls in fantasy TV show sets. Like Western wear and riding a horse out in a beautiful field or how about Outerspace….like the doll/dolls would dress up in spaceman clothes and are videoed on a set that looks like the moon. You could have all viewer video submitted and then have an Emily Rose and Friends online vote. The doll that gets the most votes for her TV Set wins a prize! So much fun and fits perfectly with your new show.

Hey I think it would be cool if you did a fashion show of matching outfits(made from the emily rose site of course) and have a bnch of friends and their dolls walk down the runway to endorse emily rose clothing items. Another idea is you could show how to make things for your dolls if you can’t affor AG, things such as making beds or making little tables. Another idea is have a little talent show with all of her friends and their dolls. I’d love to win this gift card.

I definitally think that you should do doll crafts and show how to make things for different ages. My daughter loved going from beginner crafts to much more difficult ones as she got older. It is a great way to get more viewers as you can interact with the video and make the things that they are making.

just some new iteams for you to sell. :D
you could also teach kids how to make furniture out of boxes and stuff if they cant afford beds. i am making desks, chairs, lockers, bookshelves, etc. for my dolls because i dont have enough money to buy that kind of stuff. so u could make a crafty show like martha stewert. :)
